The Orange County Register

“Maybe it was the wine. Maybe it was the vibe. But if you’ve ever fallen in love in a restaurant and want to feel that rush again, be watching closely in August. Late summer is when Catmosphere Laguna, Orange County’s first cat café, is expected to open at 381 Forest Ave., Laguna Beach.

The cat café phenom, which started in Taiwan in 1998 and has since gone global, banks on customers getting smitten by kittens. Owner Gail Allyn Landau will work with local shelters and rescue groups such as Laguna Woods Cat Club, Laguna Beach Animal Shelter and Bluebell Foundation for Cats to help find homes for the friendly, furry critters.”
